Was given a riding lesson for all my hard work! I ENJOYED GOING ON THE HORSE SO SO MUCH!
Swept a lot
Learnt how to bring in horses from the field and how to turn them out
Learnt how to tack up the horses - I've gotten quite fast and good at it now - the bridle, numnah, saddle, the bit, the girth.
Cleaned A LOT of tack using leather ointment to soften the leather to prevent it from cracking
Learnt how to put a rug on and also take it off and took off a hood a few times.
Cleaned the legs of a cob horse - it has scabs at the back of its legs and these scabs needed to be taken off
Ran around an arena a few times with a horse and gave it a little nudge from time to time to make the horse trotting during young rider lessons
Learnt a minimal amount about grooming the horse - dandy brush for the body whilst a body brush is for the mane and tail
Mucked and skipped out
Gave fresh hay at feeding time
